These terms apply to the Parcero app (iPhone and Android) and the parcero.tech website. By using the app or buying a pass, you agree to them. If you don’t agree, don’t use Parcero.
Parcero is a product of A.M FROTA NEGÓCIOS DIGITAIS LTDA, CNPJ 31.206.583/0001-35, Av. José Wilker (Ator), 605, Bloco 1B, Sala 337, Jacarepaguá, Rio de Janeiro – RJ, CEP 22775-024, which provides the service (“Parcero”, “we”).
1. What Parcero is
A guide for visitors to Rio de Janeiro. It helps you decide where to go, what to pay and how to get back. It shows stretches to avoid by time of day, builds itineraries, lets you plan the way back with your crew and share your trip with people you choose. Its chat answers using that data.
2. Safety: what Parcero doesn’t do
- Parcero gives guidance. It does not replace the police, rescue teams or any emergency service.
- In an emergency, call 190 (Military Police), 192 (SAMU ambulance) or 193 (Fire Department).
- Alerts, routes, time-of-day ranges, prices and chat answers are estimates. They come from our own curation, public data and third parties. They can be late, incomplete or wrong. Things on the street change fast.
- Nothing in Parcero is a guarantee of safety, price or outcome.
- You decide what to do and you are responsible for your decisions. Use common sense and follow local authorities.
- Night mode, “Did you get back OK?”, trip sharing and arrival alerts depend on your phone’s battery, signal, GPS and permissions. They can fail. Don’t rely on them alone.
- Parcero doesn’t watch you in real time and doesn’t call the authorities. “I need help” only alerts the people you chose.
3. Passes
- You need a 7, 15 or 30-day pass to use the app.
- One-time payment. It’s not a subscription and it doesn’t renew. We never charge you again.
- Days start counting on your first use inside Rio or on the arrival date you entered, whichever comes first. Before that, you can plan your trip without using up days.
- You can change the start date up to 2 times, as long as the pass hasn’t started.
- The pass is personal. A group pass unlocks the seats shown on the purchase screen.
- The price that applies is the one on the payment screen.
4. Purchases on the App Store and Google Play
- In-app purchases are made through the store, with your Apple or Google account. Billing and receipts come from the store.
- Refunds follow each store’s policy and are requested from and decided by the store. We can’t refund a store purchase ourselves. Apple: reportaproblem.apple.com. Google Play: Google Play refund help.
- New phone? Tap “Restore purchase” in Account, using the same store account.
5. Purchases on the website
- When you buy on the website, payment is processed by Stripe, which receives and stores your card details; Parcero has no access to them. The pass is tied to the email you entered and we send your access (a code or link to log into the app) to that email. If you mistyped your email, write to privacidade@parcero.tech. During the pre-sale, payment was processed by Bloopi, under the same email rule.
- You can cancel within 7 calendar days of purchase and get your money back, no reason needed (right of withdrawal, art. 49 of the Brazilian Consumer Protection Code). Ask at privacidade@parcero.tech, from the email you used to buy. We refund to the same payment method; when it shows up depends on your bank or card.
- Once refunded, the pass stops working.
- After that period, we look at each case and always respect your legal rights, for example if the service fails.
- Partner codes (links with
?ref=) only record who recommended Parcero to you. They don’t change the price or your rights.
6. Account and deletion
The app works with an anonymous session created on first use. Signing in with email is optional and lets you use your pass on another phone. Keep your phone and email secure. You can delete your account and data at any time, in the app (Account → Erase my data) or on the Delete your account and data page. Details in the Privacy policy.
7. Crew, followers and links
- The crew invite, the link for someone following from home and the trip link are secret. Anyone with the link sees what it shows: your status, the agreed time and, on a trip, your approximate position until you arrive.
- You choose who you share with, and you are responsible for that. You can end the trip or remove a follower at any time.
- Only invite people who agree to take part. For followers, use a nickname, not a full name.
- In the crew, don’t use an offensive name or someone else’s name.
8. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- copy, scrape, resell or redistribute Parcero content;
- use the service for anything unlawful, to harass anyone, or to track a person without their knowledge;
- try to bypass the pass, access other people’s data, or attack or overload the service;
- use the chat to request or spread unlawful or offensive content.
9. Third-party content and data
- Map, ratings, reviews and place photos come from Google Maps and are subject to the Google Maps/Google Earth Additional Terms of Service and the Google Privacy Policy.
- Recent incidents come from the public API of Instituto Fogo Cruzado, credited with source and time. They are not ours.
- Routes and the trip page use data © OpenStreetMap contributors (ODbL).
- Uber and 99 estimates are our own calculations. The final price is the one in the ride app. We are not affiliated with those companies.
- Chat answers are generated by artificial intelligence and can be wrong. Double-check anything important.
10. Intellectual property
The Parcero brand, texts, curation, design and code belong to us or are licensed to us. While your pass is valid, you get a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive license to use the app. It doesn’t let you copy, modify or distribute the app.
11. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, Parcero is not liable for: decisions you made based on its guidance; acts of third parties (such as crimes, drivers or businesses); inaccurate third-party data; phone, network or GPS failures; or temporary unavailability. Where the law allows a cap, our total liability is limited to what you paid for the pass. Nothing here removes consumer rights that the law doesn’t let us exclude, in Brazil or in your country.
12. Suspension and end of service
We may suspend or end access for anyone who breaks these terms, with notice when possible. If we shut Parcero down while your pass is valid, we refund the share of the days left.
13. Governing law and venue
Brazilian law applies. The courts of the Judicial District of the Capital of the State of Rio de Janeiro – RJ, Brazil are chosen, without prejudice to your right as a consumer to sue where you live. If you live in another country, its mandatory protections still apply.
14. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. Important changes will be announced in the app or by email before they take effect. The version on this page is the one in force.
15. App Store and Google Play
- iPhone: if you downloaded Parcero from the App Store, Apple’s Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement (EULA) also applies. These terms supplement it.
- These terms are between you and Parcero, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for the app or its content, has no obligation to provide maintenance or support, and is not responsible for claims about the app (including product liability, legal compliance or intellectual property claims). If the app fails to work as promised, you may notify Apple, which may refund the purchase price; beyond that, Apple has no other warranty obligation.
- You confirm that you are not in a country under a U.S. government embargo and are not on any U.S. government list of prohibited or restricted parties. When using the app, also follow any applicable third-party terms (such as your carrier’s).
- Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and, once you accept them, may enforce them against you.
- Android: purchases on Google Play are subject to the Google Play Terms of Service. Google is not a party to these terms and is not responsible for the app.
